Another two days of impact with our U.K. guests. T

Another two days of impact with our U.K. guests. This week, we joined hands to address pressing healthcare challenges faced by women in Lwengo, Uganda. Through a free medical camp focused on Women's Health Conditions, our dedicated team of gynaecologists, doctors, medical staff, and guests provided essential services to over 240 women, touching lives and ensuring their wellbeing.

The maternal mortality rate for Uganda as a whole is around 336 per 100,000 live births, compared to less than 12 per 100,000 in the U.K. Lwengo District has an even higher rate of about 500 per 100,000 live births. Such statistics require urgent action, and it's the reason we are taking steps.

We are excited to launch our Women's Health project, a comprehensive initiative to empower women with healthcare access, education, economic opportunities, and advocacy. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for Ugandan women and their families.

Another impactful Sunday at JFH! Our U.K. guests b

Another impactful Sunday at JFH! Our U.K. guests began with breakfast and an essential health camp planning meeting for tomorrow's women's health medical camp. Stay tuned for updates on this life-changing project.

Post-lunch, our team visited the organisation's farm, tending to chickens, pigs, black soldier flies, rabbits, and more. The Black Soldier Fly project is vital for our community and the environment and is critical in combating climate change.

The team also spent time with the community's children, sharing valuable knowledge, engaging in art, and playing games. Our Occupational Therapist guest worked closely with disabled children, offering guidance on how to support them. More sessions are planned to aid these children further.

Joining the Women's group, the guests delved into art and craft and introduced crochet making, empowering these resilient women economically. Look out for JFH crochets in the coming months.

After a fulfilling day, the guests walked peacefully through the community's beautiful nature, followed by a well-deserved relaxation, and are ready to make an even more significant impact tomorrow!

A Saturday filled with joy, connection, and making a difference at JFH!
What an incredible Saturday at Joy For Humanity! Our amazing guests from the U.K. started the day with a heartwarming breakfast, followed by inspiring lessons and classroom interactions with the children at Kyazanga Modern Primary School.

But that's not all; they also extended their love and care by guiding teachers on how to support students with learning difficulties and other disabilities in the school and community, thanks to the expertise of our Occupational Therapist guest.

The afternoon was about fun, games, and sports with the children, strengthening bonds and creating unforgettable memories.

As the sun set, we celebrated the incredible dedication of our school teachers and health centre staff with a delightful party.
