A graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Richard chairs the Uganda Joy For Humanity Team. He is the Head Teacher of Kyazanga Modern Primary School which is one of the organisation programmes. His leadership has elevated the growth and development of the school through increased performance in academics and positioning itself among the best 10 primary schools in the region and among 200 best performing schools countrywide a rare situation for a rural school. Richard coordinates a number of programmes working together with other team members. Richard is also the CEO at Lwengo District Business Council.
Cissy has nine years of experience working for both private and government health facilities.
She graduated as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse offering both nursing and midwifery services. She started working in 2012 as a Midwife and was the maternity ward lead.
In 2014 Cissy joined Uganda Health Local Government, in which she has served up until now. She has managed a Government health facility store and is currently a manager of a walk-in health facility.
She grew up in Lwengo.
Molly graduated with a Bachelors in Development Economics from Makerere University.
She provides administrative and organisational support to ensure that Joy for Humanity runs smoothly and efficiently in all the programmes done.
Molly manages and updates organisation database, keeps track of inventory, and maintains financial and employee records.
She provides administrative support to other departments and projects when required.
She grew up in Lwengo.
Phina has completed her Comprehensive Nursing studies as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse offering both Nursing and Midwifery in April 2021.
In her final year, Phina worked at Mulago Hospital in Masaka as part of her nursing course practice and offered community health services.
Phina is very passionate about nursing and serving the community.
She grew up in Lwengo.
Grace worked as an Enrolled Nurse from 2013 and upgraded to a Registered Nurse in 2016 and 2017.
A self-driven, good team player and passionate about nursing, Grace works at Lubaga hospital in Kampala.
With seven years of work experience in nursing, Grace has done community health services, worked in the male, female and children’s wards. She is also the head of the mentorship department for nursing students within the hospital.
She grew up in Lwengo.
Susan started working as a Nurse in 1978 in Villa Maria Missionary hospital in Masaka.
In 1980, she worked in Kyamaganda hospital up to 1983 when the family shifted to Kyazanga where she opened the first-ever clinic in the community.
In 2010, Susan retired and closed the clinic from the public but transferred the medical equipment to Kyazanga Modern Primary School and has continued to offer services to school children and a few community members.
Evelyn is the organisation’s comptroller and coordinates finances and accounting activities. She guides with daily and monthly decisions monitoring cash flow and understanding financial trends. Her experience enables her to accomplish financial task in an efficient and timely manner. Evelyn is a graduate of Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with IT from Sikkim Manipal University, India.
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Education, Gorreth coordinates the Young People activities. Her teamwork and organisation skills have been instrumental in uplifting the organisation activities with the young people in the community. She oversees the Bright Heart Children program and is responsible for training and monitoring the activities. Her passion for children’s issues helps to create a linkage between the children and their families.
Jimmy brings experience in volunteer service in managing the organisation projects. He supports the Rural Education and Action for Development (READ) project, the organisation Economic Growth focus area.
Together with the rest of the team, Jimmy supports the Self Empowerment Group (SEG) members by organising training and ensuring that the members are ready to start a journey of self-transformation and their families.
Jimmy is an Information and Communication Technology graduate.
