Digitised learning with phonics for English

A revolution in the teaching of English at Kyazanga Modern Primary School is taking place. Also, children in the community are learning English in new ways at the weekends.

Joy For Humanity has been able to provide iPads and digital whiteboards for the school which include educational videos for the children and teachers.

With the help of these tools and remote lessons from a teacher the school have adopted phonics as a method for teaching English. Within six months of adopting this, the youngest children in the school are talking in English as clearly as P5 children (9-year-olds).
